About Us
Genesis of the Society
Central calcutta Society for Advancement of Human Development and Research, was
founded by the students, associates and collaborators of Prof. K. L. Mukherjee, a pioneer
Clinical Biochemist and Physician Scientist of our time. It was registered as a Society on
21st July 1993. The members of the society routinely organize socially relevant events
like awareness programme, medical camps, Science and Society related academic
lectures, health programme for women and children etc.
The objectives for which the Society is established are
- To stimulate research on concrete problems of human development.
- To promote acquaintance and discussion among its members and scholars in related fields.
- To arrange and organize lectures, discussions, seminars and excursions for the diffusion of
knowledge in human development.
- To publish monographs, literatures, magazines, books and journals on various aspects of
human development.
- To promote, equip, manage, administer and co-ordinate academic institutions, study circles
and demonstration centers in consonance with the aims and objects of the society.
- To undertake measures leading to the development and popularisation of subjects of study and
research on human development including sponsoring of research, taking courses leading to
give diplomas and certificates as under Law and granting scholarships and grants-in-aid.
- To secure funds, donations, endowments and subscriptions for the purpose of the society.
- To borrow or raise money for any of the purposes of the society with or without security,
hypothecatlon or pledge of any movable or immovable properties of the society.
- To acquire land or building or construct building and instal equipments for use of the society in consonance with its objectives.
- To carry out any such acts that may assist or be conductive to the fulfilment of the aims and
objectives of the society.
